These Are The Times That Try Men's Souls

Bird hunting season is behind us.

Fishing is sixty days away.

It's dark at 5:30 in the afternoon.

There's a foot of dirty, gray snow on the ground.

It's warmer in my freezer than it is outside.

Football season is over.

Basketball season has yet to get interesting.

Truly, these are the times that try men's souls.

So, what else sucks about this time of year?  Discuss.

  4. There are several things to do this time of year: start planning next years trips, evaluate all the hunting gear and start looking for deals on replacement items, and catch up on all the magazines that have piled up on the night stand that you didn't have time to read all fall.

  5. Not to rub it in, but I still have 2 weeks left of bird season and plan to hit it as hard as I can without getting fired. Oh, and it's supposed to be 60 degrees here this weekend. I'm with you on the football and basketball though.
