Road Photo Friday: Drive South

Gratuitous Puppy Photo.
All is well.  The Ram is pointed towards the equator, XM's Outlaw Country is churning out some classic Son Volt, and the beautiful Flint Hills are passing by at a brisk 75mph.

Wes and I got a jumpstart on a bachelor party weekend this morning and visited Skyview Setters outside of El Dorado, Kansas.  Some nice looking, nice running shaggies.

Now it's onto Oklahoma City, for some R&R by the pool, carousing in Bricktown this evening, and tomorrow night's Reckless Kelly show at the Wormy Dog.

Bird dogs, beer, and bands... I think I could get used to this.

  1. I don't know how I ever hit the road before XM came along. Those homemade cassette mixes must have gotten really old after the third play.

  2. Especially when it hit summertime... those suckers melted on a regular basis!

  3. Throw caution to the wind. Extend your trip and swing Northwest to the high country and the most coveted of all man activities, GROUSE CAMP! There's nothing like it on the planet... okay, well maybe elk camp. Only a few more days until the hills open and the feathers fly. Consider yourself invited. Labor day isn't the opener, but it's a good weekend to grab a day or two. You're close and you have XM. If you're up for it, we're planning a shindig of epic proportion.
